The Waterbirth Coalition of Canada’s waterbirth evacuation sling is a specialized waterbirth safety device designed for the rapid and secure removal of a birthing person from a waterbirth pool during emergencies. Made from soft mesh fabric for quick water drainage, this emergency birthing equipment ensures the individual remains safe and comfortable, minimizing distress and preserving dignity. During use, attendants lift the mother using the sling’s corners, then transfer her from the pool to a nearby bed or trolley.
